Meet Sonam

Sonam is an experienced early childhood educator and Studio Leader who brings calm strength, care, and a sense of community to her role. Guided by the belief that “it takes a village to raise a child,” she supports children through connection, collaboration, and respectful relationships. Her early learning journey began in Bhutan and has continued in Australia, shaping a thoughtful and well‑rounded approach to leadership.

With nine years of experience across both countries, Sonam has worked with all age groups and progressed through roles as an educator, assistant room leader, and now studio leader. She is known for her warm nature, strong organisation, and commitment to fairness and teamwork, believing that shared responsibility creates safe, supportive environments where children can thrive.

Sonam views early learning as a powerful foundation for lifelong growth. She sees each child as unique and capable, valuing play, curiosity, and real‑life experiences as essential pathways for children to discover their strengths and confidence. Watching children explore and grow brings her great joy.

At St Luke’s, Sonam values being part of a professional learning community where educators grow alongside children. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, and bringing people together through food and shared time together.
