Meet Shinae

Shinae is an experienced early childhood educator who has worked across a range of early learning services since she was 19. She joined St Luke’s seeking a place to establish strong roots, nurture her teaching philosophy, and continue growing both personally and professionally. For her, St Luke’s is not just a service but a community.

With seven years of experience as an Early Childhood Teacher, Shinae values the honour of supporting children in their formative years. She fosters curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning, ensuring each child feels seen, valued, and supported.

She designs programs that reflect children’s strengths and interests, creating environments that encourage independence, creativity, problem‑solving, and security. Nature play, risky play, and sustainability are central to her practice.

Shinae holds a Bachelor of Education (Birth to Five) and will begin her Master of Teaching (Early Childhood and Primary) in July. Outside of work, she enjoys the gym, hiking, and painting. She shares her home with her dog Murphy and pet snake Tommy.
